RED FIVE is a floppy drive emulator for Commodore 64 / Vic-20. It enables Loading and storage of disk images from a micro SD card. No need for real floppy disk. You can literally have every program file and disk image ever made for a Commodore stored on a single SD card!
RED Five (No Cable version) Features:
- No cable is require to connect to computer. Plug it into the serial port and cassette port at the same time.
- Uses power from the cassette port.
- Default device number is 8. Can be changed with a few simple commands.
- Includes a serial port socket so additional devices such as a printer or another disk drive can be used at the same time.
- A great looking and compact design. Takes up no extra space on your desktop.
RED Five (Desktop version) Features:
- Has 2 serial port sockets so additional devices such as a printer or another disk drive can be used at the same time.
- Uses power from a USB micro cable.
- Default device number is 8. Can be changed with a few simple commands.
- A great looking design. You can choose an optional "Turbo Laser" to cover the serial port sockets.
